We went to a township near the airport with a program called the Amy Biehl Foundation. Amy was a Fulbright scholar who dedicated her life to working to improve the lot of the people who lived in townships. Sadly, she was killed in the township. Her parents started a foundation to continue the reconciliation of blacks and whites in South Africa to honor her memory. One program the foundation sponsors is an afterschool program at a township elementary school. Above, you see some of the boys of the school.
